Where We Stand on Environmental Issues
The world is changing and CITGO’s challenge is to keep pace with those changes.
Much work already has been done to protect our planet and our well-being. Hundreds of health, safety and environmental protection laws and regulations are in place, with more than 150 measures affecting the refining industry alone.
On the other hand, there’s still more work to be done. CITGO will continue to face issues that could impact our world, our public health and our economy.
Protection of the environment is one of CITGO’s key values. CITGO uses the concepts of Integrated Management Systems, continuous improvement and measuring key indicators to direct and improve its stewardship of the environment.
